本作は、「なぜ虫は街灯のまわりをぐるぐると回りながら集まるのか」という問いから生まれた、知性とロマンティシズムが融合したジャズ・ポップ・ナンバーです。月の光を頼りに真っ直ぐ飛んでいたはずが、都会の人工的な明かりによって意図せず螺旋（らせん）を描いてしまう虫たちの生態。その「本人はまっすぐ進んでいるつもりの迷子」という健気な姿を、迷いながらも理想の光を目指して今日を生きる人間の葛藤と重ね合わせました。

Roasted Dice Studio, through their music label Roasted Dice Echoes, will officially release their 159th digital single, “Massugu na Maigotachi” (The Straightforward Strayers), on June 9, 2026.
This work is an intellectually stimulating and deeply romantic jazz-pop track born from a simple question: “Why do insects gather around streetlights in spirals?” Reflecting the biological phenomenon where insects unintentionally draw a spiral orbit due to artificial city beams while trying to navigate straight via the moon, the song mirrors these earnest “strayers” with the human experience of trying to live authentically amidst modern distractions.
The poignant lyrics—”The dilemma of fluttering wings, where the more you fly the closer you get” and “Rather than standing still in the dark, you’d rather aim for the light even if you get hurt”—offer profound empathy for anyone feeling a bit lost in the urban jungle.
