Roasted Dice Studio

Press Release (English)
Sometimes You Have to Disappoint Someone to Protect What Matters: Roasted Dice Studio Releases 202nd Single “A Quiet Excuse” on November 5th!
Roasted Dice Studio, through their music label Roasted Dice Echoes, will officially release their 202nd digital single, “Shizukana Iiwake” (A Quiet Excuse), on November 5, 2026.
This release is a tender, introspective jazz-pop ballad addressing the quiet exhaustion that comes from perpetually meeting other people’s expectations. Pausing before a flashing crosswalk and retreating into a neighborhood café, the narrative chronicles the pivotal moment of self-compassion: setting down overpacked baggage and replacing polite pretense with honest self-care. The arrangement layers resonant acoustic piano voicings and a gentle nocturnal rhythm, creating a serene sanctuary away from the clamor of outside demands.
Featuring deeply comforting lyrics such as “I’ve learned that sometimes you have to disappoint someone to protect what truly matters” and “Setting down the baggage carried too long, taking a deep breath at midnight,” the song grants listeners permission to empty their hands and stop constantly tallying what they might lose. Infused with Roasted Dice Studio’s signature warmth—comforting and aromatic like an artisanal midnight brew—this single offers an affectionate lullaby for anyone ready to whisper, “Goodnight to today’s me.”

Message from Roasted Dice Studio:
“When we spend all our energy striving to be ‘good’ for everyone else, our shoes wear thin and our hearts lose their room to breathe. Disappointing someone can feel frightening, but taking a quiet step back is sometimes the only way to safeguard our own well-being. We hope this gentle piano melody feels like setting down a heavy backpack at midnight, giving yourself the grace to empty your hands, rest your pace, and softly close out the day.”
