Floor Quest 20
Game World
Set in the skyscrapers of the futuristic city “Mega City,” players take on the role of elevator operators. The goal is to efficiently navigate the buildings and reach designated floors to earn points. Using 20-sided dice, the player who collects the most points wins.
Game Rules
Number of Players: 2-4 Required Items: Five 20-sided dice, 5 point markers per player, player tokens, and a special score sheet (5 buildings with 50 floors each).
Initial Setup
Each player rolls five 20-sided dice.
The numbers rolled are used to place point markers on the floors of the buildings.
Example: A point marker placed on the 10th floor is worth 10 points, and one on the 47th floor is worth 47 points.
Players can also combine the numbers rolled to place markers.
Game Start
Players take turns rolling five 20-sided dice.
The numbers rolled can be combined to move the elevator from the lobby to different floors.
Example: If the dice show 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15, the player can move up to the 40th floor.
Players can either move the elevator by the numbers rolled or use the combination of dice to place their markers on different floors.
Special Rules
The five buildings are interconnected at the 10th, 25th, 35th floors, and the lobby. Players can switch elevators at these connection points, but any remaining dice values are discarded.
Example: If a player is on the 3rd floor and rolls a 10, they can move 7 floors to the 10th floor and switch elevators, discarding the remaining 3 points.
Players can move from the 49th to the 50th floor, but once they reach the 50th floor, they move to the lobby and cannot go back to the 49th floor.
Earning Points
Players earn points by reaching the floors where they initially placed their point markers.
If a player lands on a floor with a marker, they earn points for that floor, and the marker is placed in the center of the board as a shared marker. Players can then use their dice rolls to place new markers on the buildings.
If there are shared markers in the center of the board, players must use their own markers first.
Player Interaction
If a player’s token lands on the same floor as another player’s token, the other player’s token is moved to any of the shared corners (10th, 25th, 35th floors, or the lobby).
Game End
The game ends when all point markers have been collected.
The player with the highest total points from collected markers wins.
For 2 players, set a timer for 15 minutes; the game ends when the timer goes off, and the player whose turn is next completes their turn. For 3-4 players, set a timer for 30 minutes.
Game Strategy
Efficiently combining dice rolls to move through floors is crucial.
Observing other players’ moves and strategically collecting points before opponents can also be effective.
